Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located at 2 km south of Lianhuaqu village of Eryuan County (100o14'E 25o 53'N), Yunnan. It was named by the No.5 Team of the First Yunnan regional Geological Survey in 1973, and was formally published by Zhang Yuanzhi et al. in Yunnan Lithostratigraphy in 1998.


Lithology and Thickness

Clayey limestone. It consists of dark-gray clayey limestone and yellow-grayish shale intercalated with thin-bedded limestone with breccia and siliceous concretions. The thickness is 488.5 m..
